Text Box: “Congress needs to continue making available all the necessary tools to fight and win this war. Now is not the time to move on. Now is the time to keep moving forward.”
                   				    --Congresswoman Kay Granger
National security is government’s first job and Kay Granger’s top priority.  In the late 1990s, she worked tirelessly to increase and improve national security.  And since 9-11, she has supported efforts to aggressively defeating the terrorists militarily, economically and philosophically, both here and abroad. Congresswoman Granger has voted consistently to increase funding for our military, intelligence, and homeland security infrastructure and operations.  And she has fought hard to give our men and women in uniform the funding they deserve and need.
As part of her strategy to strengthen national defense, Granger has supported a number of key military projects that are based in the North Texas area, like the F-22, the V-22 and the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).  She has also served on key committees, including the House Armed Services Committee, the Defense Subcommittee on Appropriations and now serves on the Military Construction Subcommittee on Appropriations and the Homeland Security Committee.
Congresswoman Granger also serves as co-chair of the Congressional Anti-terrorism Caucus.  The caucus offers members of Congress briefings from a wide range of terrorism experts including retired military officials and experts from academia.
Congresswoman Granger knows that after the horrors of 9-11, we can no longer be on defense…we must be on offense.  She is committed to taking the fight to the terrorists whoever they are, wherever they are, whenever we can.
